Acolytes

An opportunity for youth to participate directly in our worship by carrying the cross, banners, Gospel book, and icons, and assisting with Communion. E-mail: Andre Watson

Altar Guild

Chalice bearers and lay readers

Assist Pastor Cox at the altar and serve the Eucharistic wine to fellow members of the Body of Christ in this most central aspect of our worship. E-mail: Pastor Cox

Christ Church Choir

The music minstry of Christ Church supports the liturgy by providing sung praise for Worship. Our adult and children's choirs rehearse in season (September to June) and usually sing at the 10 a.m. Sunday Eucharist and for holidays (Christmas, Easter, etc) and at other special events. Church School & Godly Play

Be a part of the spiritual growth of our children and youth by volunteering as a teacher or greeter for children from age 3 through 5th grade. Training provided. E-mail: Sue Higgs

Christ Church Youth Group

Volunteer to help provide Christian formation to high school youth through the use of curriculum, discussion, safe recreational activities, and outreach to the community. During the school year, we offer Christian Education each Sunday morning at 9 a.m. We also have two weekend activities which alternate between conducting outreach projects and fun activities. Flower Ministry

Deliver altar flowers and offer the parish's good wishes and prayers to Christ Church members who are homebound or in nursing homes or hospitals. E-mail: Ruth Morris

Health Ministry

Weekly blood pressure screenings, women's support, smoking cessation and other healthy initiatives. E-mail: Phyllis Bruce

Men's Group

The group meets at 6:45 a.m. on Tuesdays in the Parish Hall for Bible study, fellowship and discussion. E-mail: Jerry Emerson

 

Outreach

Provide fellowship for our friends in recovery at the House of Pride and participate in special community projects throughout the year. E-mail: Jean Smith

Prayer Shawl

This ministry is supported by an enthusiastic group creating shawls, lap robes, and other items for people experiencing a time of difficulty, sadness, or celebration. The group meets at 7 pm on the second Tuesday of each month, September-June, in the Common Room of the Parish House. All stitchers, regardless of skill level are welcome. Transportation

Free van transportation is available to all services. To volunteer as a driver or to request a ride, contact Fred Mott by phone at 736-6404 or by e-mail.

Ushers

Ushers act as ministers of hospitality by greeting those arriving for services. Scheduling is generally done on a yearly basis but there is always a need for additional help. Entire families and individuals are encouraged to participate. E-mail: Richard Waters
