God bless you as you and your future spouse make plans for a life together!  If you are looking to prepare spiritually for marriage or same-gender blessing with the support of a faith community, we invite you to attend services at Christ Church and speak to our rector, the Rev. Celeste Cox, about your desire to receive the guidance of the Church.

The Church has several expectations of those seeking the blessing and support of our faith community. At least one party to the marriage or blessing must be baptized, and it is recommended that both are baptized people.   At least one party must regularly attend or have decided to make Christ Church their worshiping community, and demonstrate commitment by active regular worship as well as financial support. Further details are available upon meeting with the rector.

The Episcopal Church teaches that partners seeking a holy union commit themselves to God as well as to each other. They come to the Church seeking God’s help in fulfilling the vows they make. Through the faith perspective, couples are called to offer the world an example of the self-giving love of God in Jesus Christ. Therefore, their union is considered a sacred sign through which God’s presence may be revealed.

At Christ Church, we offer a supportive preparation program which includes a series of discussions with our rector and a short-term educational program. We cordially invite you to attend one of our services soon (Sundays at 8 and 10 a.m.; Wednesdays at 12:10 p.m.).
