Did you know that Christ Church now has a Parish Health Ministry? Perhaps you have seen friendly faces offering to take your blood pressure after one of the Sunday services, or maybe you have noticed the table in the parish hall displaying numerous health related brochures.
The purpose of this ministry is to assist and encourage each other in our journeys of health, wholeness, and spiritual growth.
Three nurses from our parish provide this ministry: Dot Wilson, Retta Zimmerman, and Suzanne Omrod-Schmidt.
At least one of them will be available after the 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Sunday services if you would like a blood pressure check or to discuss any health matters. We hope that we can assist you or direct you to the information that you are seeking.
We will also be available to make visits to those who are unable to attend services, and arrange for communion if desired. The Parish Health Ministry is working closely with Pastor Celeste to assist with Pastoral Care concerns. Additionally, we plan to sponsor health related programs.
